If you have asthma, the mothball smell in the room can be overwhelming. The blankets are very thin and the pillows are too thick and firm. They only give you 3 pillows on a King sized and thats not enough for two people. They do not provide shampoo/conditioner or a hairdryer. Some websites say this Motel 6 provides free breakfast but all they have is Coffee and it's only in the lobby.
Best Motel 6 I've stayed at in a long time and have stayed at an assortment of this level hotel/motels in Perry, GA. All ranging about the same price. We go often for events at the Ag. Center. Room was clean, spacious, bed comfy, water hot, no bugs, check in and other staff friendly and helpful.
Nice and clean. Great beds and pillows. Sure wish I could have gotten a non- smoking room on ground floor. We arrived before 80 percent of guests and were told none available. Bought Fabreez and it helped a bit. Still, nice facility.
Customer service is terrible. Danny at the desk was downright rude, and when I questioned why, when I made a reservation with a request several months earlier, that request was not anywhere near accommodated. I know for a fact that there were rooms in the other building near the grass--because two of my friends who came after me both got rooms on the first floor of that building. Last year the desk gave men what I had requested--which is what one would expect (other motel chains do). Danny swiveled the computer so could see my request and basically told me requests did not matter at all, they had no responsibility to honor it, and that expecting that is showing "big attitude". No, we just expect people to be nice, and accommodating. I was given a room the very furthest from where I requested to be. Danny also said I could go elsewhere if I didn't want what he was giving me. So basically the people at this Motel 6--represented by Danny, do not care About customer service at all.
Best of all it was one of the first motel rooms I've walked into (can't remember this happening EVER) that didn't smell like something or room spray covering another smell. Refreshing when you have allergies!
This is the best roadside motel I have stayed in. Clean room with wood floors. Comfortable bed. This was a perfect stop for us and two dogs. There is a safe area in the back to walk dogs. Great staff. You can walk to Walmart for food or there are chain restaurants. I did not hear neighbors.
The rooms have the basics--no frills, the ac is noisy, the showers work well, bathroom is as old as the hills but everything works, and what you would expect for $50 a night. The only really irksome thing was the lack of electrical outlets in the room--all but one was used for the plug in lamps and I had one outlet not working. The rooms are CLEAN...so the rest of that stuff does not matter for me. That is what makes this Motel 6 different. If you come with a dog there is a grassy area in the courtyard of the motel (which shares it with another motel). That brings me to my other point:
